Give them a call, however, unless the chair is very expensive or an heirloom, it is probably not worth the cost. I can and have welded steel, iron, etc., but do not have the equipment for aluminum, good luck with your project.

Another thought came to me there are automotive wheel repair shops in the area, and most wheels are aluminum, they MIGHT do this for you.

Agree with villagethinker - not really worth it. Hiring a mig welder who will use 100% argon gas is not cost effective. Any mig welder worth his salt will charge about $70-$100 an hour.

Hyman's Mobile Welding Service, (352)804-7169.

He drove out and fixed some aluminum welds on my golf cart frame. Fast and fairly priced.

If its patio furniture, its crappy cast aluminum and can't be tig'd or mig'd and even if they can get it to stick together, it won't last.

You'd have better success with a good epoxy after cleaning the area with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth

Not much to lose trying to fix with a good quality adhesive.

The only other option i can think of would be to fabricate a steel support that could fit inside the aluminum tubing, I am assuming that the tubing is accessible for inserts, probably lots of custom work.
