Default Appliance Repair Advice

If you need appliance repairs I suggest you avoid Sears Home Services. Their automated appointment system is abysmal, and their customer communication is non-existent. Technician diagnosed our refrigerator (6 yr old Kenmore Elite) compressor needed replacement. Part was under warranty but not labor which was over $500 for about 1.5 hours work. Refrigerator still didn’t work properly. Scheduled another appointment and waited from 8am to 5pm for a no show, no call and no response to my call. Scheduled another appointment and after waiting 7 hours got a text the appointment was cancelled; no reason, no calls, no reschedule.
Bought a new refrigerator today.
Somehow about 4 days after original repair a new compressor was delivered to my door. If anyone has a need for it make me an offer because I don’t need it and Sears Home Services isn’t getting it.

Are they part of Sears itself?

Sad when a great company manages to destroy itself
