Default Attic Insulation refreshed

Who does the best job adding additional blown in insulation to a poorly initial job. My house is only 5 years old and I went up to look at the insulation and it varies from < than 6" to 16" plus. Is this the normal job for the villages contractors?

We can help you with this. We do blown-in and also offer radiant barrier. Get it done before the end of the year and you can get a 10% tax credit as well. Give us a call for more information 866-669-5259. Thanks

Comment.
We did look at some places and found the sales person does not want us to look in the attic, after insisting to look we found out why. We are from out of state and believe me, the insulation jobs are commonly so bad, really poorly done.
So, we contacted Gable Insulators, Bill Mckenzie, (in the Sun paper) a really great guy and had our attic done including the garage and with the Radiant Barrier, good job and immediately saw the increase in temp control and the decrease in the electric bill. I do not wish to be bragging, but my background is Heat Transfer Systems and it is so ridiculous to hear a sales person give their sales pitch opinion on insulation while they are really full of it.

What a waste of your hard-earned money. If you don't care, go for it.

This is something I often find and write up during warranty inspections. the Villages blows up to an R-30. While this is code compliant, I usually recommend having an R-38 level in the attic.

Thankfully, adding additional insulation blown in does not cost too much. I know Timberwood charges less than $75 per bag. Unlike other options folks consider, additional insulation is typically a good idea with a payback within a few years.
