Default Auto mechanic

in need of a good automobile mechanic. I am having issues with my ignition switch in my Toyote Avalon. Also has anyone heard of a key wearing out and no longer working in the ignition? Thanks

Default Accu-Tech Automotive

I was referred to Accu-Tech by a few fellow Villagers when I needed work done on my Hundai and I found them to be very good and reasonably priced. They are on 301 in Oxford which is a very short ride from TV. Their number: 352-748-1500

Good luck!

Accu-Tech is the best. Honest, ethical, and reasonable. No, we're not related to them but merely a very satisfied customer.

My opinion has not changed since this post in January of 2010. No one I have sent there has has a bad experience either. Good luck.

Default Went to Michael and was VERY pleased

He helped us out quickly and did not do any upselling. He tried his best to find a comparable part but as we were on a time constraint he had to use the KIA part which he got right away. I will use him from now on for our car issues. It is hard to find reasonable, honest, quick mechanics who go right to the problem and fix it.

An electronic key could malfunction. If it is a metal key, the ignition switch could be damaged if you have other heavy items on the key ring. The constant movement will damage the ignition switch over time.

This is what happened to me waynet. I used to work on the golfcourse mostly on the sand traps. After a while my ignition key got hard to turn on both the ignition and the locks on the car. I got my spare key out and started using it and it worked. What had happened was i always had sand in my pockets and when i would put my car keys in my pocket i was getting tiny specks of sand in the grooves of the key . All i did was brush off the key with a tooth brush and it worked. Check and make sure your key is clean.
