We paid $2000 for 2 beautiful palm trees to be planted at our home in Dunedin by Unique Palm & Landscape last month. Willie, who drove the truck with the palm trees, appeared to be responsible. Unfortunately, the largest palm ($1500) died. After many calls, Willie did come by and trimmed up the palm to see if it could be saved. The palm is dead and we have been calling both him and Calvin Jerry, the owner of the company, to work out replacing the dead palm, as per the invoice (product is guaranteed). Nothing but promises and lies and unreturned calls - all we have is a large, dead palm tree we spent $1500 to have planted. We are taking the next logical steps (reporting them to the BBB and taking them to small claims court), but BEWARE. Do not do business with them, please.

Call Kim at Southern Charm Landscaping & Nursery 352-427-1362. I don't know what palms he has, but he does grow them, and nothing that will not survive in our climate. If he can help you out, he certainly will, and not for an arm and a leg, either! So sorry this happened to you.

Also contact Seniors vs Crime. They can be very helpful in having things corrected or money returned.

That is a shame. I can recommend Wise Tree Service from experience. I had them trim trees as well as plant two beautiful Canary Island palms, another tree and various birds of paradise plants. They have been in a couple of months and are doing great. The owner is an arborist and very knowledgeable.
