OP, your project may be a little more complicated. The floor was probably not recessed for a shower, the drain may not be in a suitable location for the shower. You may need to have a low wall or barrier installed to keep the water in the shower area. If you want a wall in part of the shower area, you may run into clearance problems with the adjacent toilet, if you are just putting in glass sections should not be a problem. Changing the location of the drain line may require a plumbing permit.
IMHO, make sure you discuss what you want specifically with your contractor, get what you want in writing, and some type of warranty against leakage. Oh almost forgot, you may need to alter the location and type of control for the shower, I THINK you can just plug the line that would normally go to the tub, but shower controls are typically higher. You may want to check with home warranty of the original tile, so you can see if this is still available. Be prepared for lots of dust, dirt, and noise, as I recall cast iron tubs are not easy to remove.
Hope this helps.

Talking Central Florida Kitchen & Bath

In 2015 we replaced the tub with a walk-in shower in our guest bath. We used Central Florida Kitchen and Bath. At that time they had a small showroom in Summerfield on 27-441, and a larger showroom and factory in Belleview. We used their solid-surface product called Terrastone, identical to Jettastone. They finished in 3 days. Of course we then had to order the frameless glass and floor tile. We estimate the entire project cost $9K including the frameless glass, new toilet and the plumbing. The job was perfect. Good luck.
