I purchased a hairpiece at Imagine Beauty in the Colony Plaza to cover the top of my head after surgery. The salesperson showed me several pieces that might work. Being a top piece, the hair needed to match my own hair. The lighting in the store is not good and of course the color range was limited. I paid $266 for a hairpiece and a cleaner and brush that I "absolutely" needed. When I returned home and held the hairpiece up to my hair in good light, I saw that the color was wrong and the hairpiece was very shiny and looks artificial- which it is. I immediately called the owner and requested a refund. The hairpiece was unused. She did not listen to any of my issues and kept saying "no refund for credit". I could not return it for another item as the selection was low and no other hairpiece would work for me. At no time did the salesperson tell me that the item was nonrefundable and nowhere in the shop did I see the return policy or lack of return policy. If you shop there, go out into the light with a big mirror and be aware that once you walk out of the shop the item is yours.

OP,
If there were no signs, and nothing in writing about returns, you might have a case for seniors against crime. I think it would be worth it to contact them and see if they can help. Hope this helps.

Since you tried to return it under the legal time . Just file in small claims court. They will either return your money or go out of business . By all means tell everyone what the store did. And notify the police dept. they will give you many places to report them too also.
