Default Home Warranty companies

Our warranty is about up and since my company has such bad reviews, have decided to find a better one. A Google search gave me several companies for Florida but they ALL had bad reviews. My current one is Old Republic and I have used American Home Shield in another house. Both have horrible reviews. Does anyone use a Home Warranty company that they can recommend? Thanks

They all have horrible reviews because they are in business to make money not honor claims; however, if you have a legitimate, by the book issue you can usually get it covered. I have had American Home Shield and had to fight for it but had a water heater, a/c compressor, and gas furnace replaced at one house. You have to be persistent and have a "true" and real issue.

I have Service America and haven't had any real big claims, but they've been good and quick with the small repairs.

I have had American Home Shield for years here in upstate NY. Have had several claims over the years and all have been successfully resolved. I have read all the bad reviews but personally I have not had a bad experience.

I've used American Home Shield for my home in CA for the past 3 years. 6 months after I signed up for the policy, one of my AC units stopped working. They sent out a contractor who determined it needed to be replaced. AHS had no issue replacing it, and all I paid was the $60 deductible.

My first year anniversary is approaching on my home in TV, and I plan on signing up with AHS for this home as well.

Hope this helps...

I'm wondering why home warranties aren't more popular here? Any ideas???
