We have Been hearing quite a bit about your thoughts on FL insurance premiums, when you might need to replace your roof questions, insurance scams, solicitation, and the like. We thought we would share a bit of “insight” regarding these concerns:

The “Truth Is” that there are quite a few more factual reasons we are having insurance premium issues and why many people are being dropped or asked to pay triple-rate premiums this year and potentially for years to come:

• Unfortunately, we can thank those folks that filed roofing claims just because a neighbor did or were enticed to at random. It hurts us all.

• The folks who potentially signed away
rights to fraudulent contractors with AOB’s (Assignment of Benefits) who then paid attorneys to syphon out our policies since 2017 post Hurricane IRMA.

• For Roofing, HVAC’s (Air Conditioning Compressors), and Hot Water Heaters over 12-15 years that carriers will no longer cover (larger claim expenditures) under policy now due to the fraud and now have decided to take the power back and drop policy-holders.

• For losing 38% of insurance carriers in FL due to ignorance, uneducated policy-holder action, insurance scams, and fraud.

• Due to poor management by both field adjusters, remote-working desk adjusters, and false claims approved by claim coordinator’s during the pandemic which set us back a bit.

• Everything depreciates and that’s why there are actuaries out there that perceive these things up-front and so Villagers will save (monetarily) for those things that are eventually inevitable in months and years to come (Roofing, HVAC, Pool Systems, Water Heaters).
