Default Bolt Rethreaded

Does anyone know where I could take bolt to get rethreaded? We have a bed with a finial that was damaged and we would like to see if we could have it fixed instead of trying to get a new one to match. We aren't very handy with things like this.

Run it by the Ace Hardware. I bet they will have a Tap and Die set they can fix the bolt or replace it.

I owned a machine shop for 36 years. If I were still in business, I'd fix it for you. But Tommy T's idea is a good one. If you hit a snag, P.M. me and I'll stop over your mansion when I return to TV in early Jan. Maybe I can come up with something.

Show the bolt to the Ace Hardware guy, and I'll bet you even money that he has a replacement for it. Ace has almost always come through for me when I needed one of a kind bolts, screws, nuts, etc.

Any local machine shop can do that for you. If you don't have it done by Friday, let me know and I'll bring my taps and dies up from the boat. I arrive the 18th. Village of Rio Grande and will be glad to help.

Smile It is fixed.

The finial is fixed. I took it up to ACE Hardware and a very nice gentleman fixed it. I am going to ACE from now on. Thanks for the suggestion. You all have been very helpful.

As they say in their Ads, "Ace is the Place". Have always found when you needed something they were the place to go. Glad to hear that Ace is in the Village area.
