Default Car Detailer "Jimmy Buff-It"

I displayed my car at one of the car shows at Spanish Springs and had a wonderful conversation with a car detailer that called himself Jimmy Buff-It. I would like to call him to arrange an appointment for detailing, but I have lost his card. Does anyone know him? Can you supply a phone number?

Thanks for your help.

I am looking for a retailer also. The Villages car wash does an OK job for own daily driver, but I would not take my tbird there. The older I get the harder a true detail becomes for me. If you find it, bump this thread and add the number.

I feel the same way about my 1980 Mercedes 450SL -- it has only 50,000 miles an I would not entrust it to just anyone. Based on a long conversation with Jimmy and looking at some of his work, he is exactly what I need -- if I can just find him again! :-)

I have not heard of him,, What kind of work are you looking to have done to the car?? Also depends on the condition of the paint,, swirls, or just looking for a good wash,, paint clayed,, and a sealant put on with some wax???

I know a good cat but he only does it at his house on the weekend,,,

Thanks for the reply -- I did find the man in Weeki Wachee previously on the internet, but that was not him. Apparently the clever Jimmy Buff-It name is used by several companies nationwide. The man I am looking for is local and details many of the classic cars that attend the shows in the Square. I am sure someone in one of the classic car clubs may have heard of him or used his services.

Thanks for the information -- I have also found a man that does this work on the weekend at his house. I was particularly interested in Jimmy Buff-It after seeing his work -- he uses clay and it is the best I have seen in the area.

Had two cars done by KK's Detailing just across from the intersection of 466 and 442/27 across from the auto parts store. Great job. He really cares about cars.

Good Deal Chief...

Let me know if it does not work out. This cat does great work also. He said he would be glad to check out the ride.

He did mine and I was impressed. Wash, Wax and clay where needed and a Sealant with a Glaze then hand waxed. One thing I love is my ride to be tight and shine like no tomorrow.

Here is a link you might like on Detailing,,, I have spoken with the owner,, and seen the work. He is in Alabama, but man talk about the love of a true and pure shine.

Perhaps you should go to Starbuck's in LSL early in the morning. When we lived on that side of The Villages my husband frequented Starbuck's around 8 AM daily and Jimmy was a regular there with a group of guys. If he is there, someone will definitely tell you or perhaps someone might know how to get in touch with him. Good Luck!

As "Mikeod" said in an earlier post - KK's Auto Detailing (TEL: 352-429-8991 / 124 W. Lemon St, Lady Lake) does excellent work. We had him detail our boat (an all day project), and he did a great job.

Best,
Casey

Thanks so much -- you are the first person to have at least heard of Jimmy. I will try your suggestion and ask around Starbucks.

Thanks so much for the link to the detailing site -- WOW, very impressive. Frankly, I have never seen anything like it. Wish it were closer, but I may still try on my next trip up that way.

We lived in Weeki Wachee for four years and many of our neighbors used Jimmy Buff-it and love him. He has a very good reputation.
