A little story:....... My check engine light was on. He found that it was showing a bad catalytic converter. This particular car has TWO. Repair would be $2,000 min. But he said before repairing he would 'update' the computer. Then I should drive it for a while to see what happens. Since I bought the car 2nd hand, he called the manufacturer to check the warranty on this. Turns out it was 8 years or 100k miles. I think this is above and beyond his responsibility to call the mfr. And it all apparently solved the problem by updating the computer because I've been driving it for 2 months w/o a problem.

Tri-County by Lowe's on 441 is also very good. I had to have my car towed there, knowing my clutch was out. In the older Miatas, this is a $3,000 repair since they have to remove the engine to get to the clutch. Turns out it was the slave plate (a $250 repair). He could have easily gone the clutch route -- I would have never known the difference. I've sent several friends there and they've all been very happy with the work there.

Another vote for Tri-County
