I bought a new set of Firestone tires for my Chrysler minivan (Town&Country) just last year (July 2011) from the Walmart on 441. No problems with the tires - I've put 11,000 miles on them with no issues at all. No issues with the service - quick, didn't try to sell me all kinds of extras, polite, no surprises like, "Uh sir, we noticed your brakes are shot" or "Uh sir, your car looks to need a complete 4-wheel alignment" Like any tire dealer, you can have good and bad, but I would go back with no reservation so long as the price was OK.

I've always had good luck with Sears. My experience with Tire Kingdom is to stay away. If you don't have your tires rotated by their schedule and front end aligned, then they have no warrenty. Sears just looks at the tread wear and prorates them when you buy another set. Funny you mentioned tires, but for the first time in my life it looks like I need to replace the tires on my car because of cracking from getting old and not used much. I probably have at least another 15,000 miles on them. Golf cart and motorcycle gets all the use.

I've had good luck buying tires through tirerack dot com. You have tires shipped directly to a local installer and the installation costs are shown before you complete the order. Tire Kingdom and Tire Choice are two installers in this area. I like it because I have a lot of choices in each size with regards to price and features. They also have test results and customer reviews on each tire, even filtered by car brand and driving style.

Boulevard Tire on 441/27, between 466 & 466-A.
They carry many of the big brands and some off-brands (got a set of Ripkens...made by Michelin...same specs & tread design...for way less than Michelin).
Ask them if they have a Cooper tire in your size; an excellent, old-line tire manufacturer that has great value.
Nice staff...no pressure.

Tire Round-Up on Rt441 in Lady Lake. Owner Jeff Grover, 352-753-7400. Have purchased 2 sets of 4 from him over the years and he has always stood back of his products. He does also carry Cooper.

I second that. Plus free rotation and life time balance. Best prices on Michelin.

Cool

Well, I have to give a "Shout out" for Tire Choice in Colony.

Last week, I had a flat tire on my golf cart (13" tires on a Par Car). I was close to Walmart on 441, but they would not fix my tire, even though I was sitting in front of the repair bay with a flat. They finally aired up my tire and I limped to Tire Choice. I was there about 10 minutes, had the flat fixed and the charge was ZERO! I gave the kid, who fixed it, a good tip and I was on my way.

When I need tires for my car, they will get my business...

Courious....Why wouldn't they fix it? I took a golfcart tire to them several months ago and they plugged it.
