Does anyone know where I can get a hole drilled in a bottle so I can make a lamp out of it?

I have glass drill bits (as mentioned above) as well as diamond bits, HOWEVER i have never actually drilled a bottle, so I am concerned about possible breakage. I used these bits for putting holes in tile, which they did very well.
So if you want to experiment we could try, let me know.

Thank you guys for your reply and offer to use your drill bits, I do have two sets one from Amazon and another from Harbor Freight. I have tried sample bottles and all cracked that’s why I am looking for someone with the experience and tools.
I do appreciate your response thanks |

That can happen if either you use too much force, or if the glass heats up where you're drilling. If you want to give it one more try, I'd suggest taking a break after every few seconds of drilling to spray or wipe down the area where you're drilling with water to keep things cool. Best of luck!

Dremel with a diamond tip bit will do the trick. It is a slow process that takes patience, but it works.
