Have had mine for about 3 months now and have no complaints. Works great. I believe there is another thread already about theses phones and most comments I have read were favorable.

One "downside" is that you have an out of town area code. Whenever a neighbor calls you they have to do so by dialing long distance. Toll charges apply if they don't have a free long distance service.

We are basically very happy with MagicJack and it works wonderful up North. However when we were in The Villages people at the other end would complain of loud squealing sounds which would cut off our conversation. Has anyone else had this problem while using Magic Jack in TV?

I have been testing my Magic Jack here in NY and LOVE IT!
So much so that we got rid of my second Verizon line that was costing us a fortune. Asked for a distinctive ring on home line for faxes for a small fee. Will let you know how it work in TV in August

I'm not familiar with Magic Jack. Can someone explain what it is. I'm guessing it is some form of alternative phone system. I have been using Vonage for over a year, and have been very happy with it, and it is economical. Vonage works in concert with your high speed internet connection. Is Magic Jack the same thing? :dontknow:
