Default comcast signal is dropping out

Is anyone else having the same problem I am. My Comcast cable signal keeps going out and all I get is a message on the screen that says, we have detected an interruption in your service. Please check the connections. If the problem persists please call Comcast at 1-800-comcast. Sorry for the inconvenience. The signal was bad yesterday. I kept loosing it for about 2 minutes . This kept happening every ten minutes or so.Now today it has been working fine for the last hour or so and now the signal has started going out again just like yesterday.I checked all of my cable connections and everything is tight. Doesanyone have any advice to fix this?

I know you said you checked the connections...and this is a long shot...I was having a similar problem, called Comcast, they were going to have someone come out, and then I decided to change the HDMI cable with a different one...BINGO, problem fixed. I don't know it the cable was bad, or if it just had a bad connection, but I no longer have signal droppng, and it has been many months. Hope this helps, if not, give Comcast a call, or better yet, contact them online from their website via live chat.

We had the same problem, it was our DVR that was overheating because the cooling fan was not working. So we had to have it replaced. Worked fine after that. Not sure how long you have had Comcast, within one year our service price went from $119 to $179 and we do not have HBO etc and we did not pay for phone, just cable and internet. Just switched to Century Link, so far so good and much cheaper for the same service. Plus the tvs now are cable less!

Longer message: After having this happen to us many many times and calling Comcast many many times, I finally got someone from Comcast who told me that my modem was outdated, we had the Motorola modem that Comcast installed last year. We brought it to the Comcast store across from Walmart and received the Xfinity modem, today. After hours of telephone troubleshooting, I finally have my computer back....we will see if the problem is solved.

Is Brighthouse available in TV?

Is Brighthouse a good alternative to Comcast? Comcast seems very expensive.

call Comcast and tell them you will be leaving either for century link or direct tv, and they will reduce you bill by about $50, and also give you showtime and movie channels for 1 year.

Comcast has had my business for sometime now and has done well by me. The only complaint I have with them is their store down on 441. The employees not the problem its the long wait

We too were wondering why our Comcast TV service kept going out and this may sound stupid but my problem was the plug from the TV to the surge suppressor. Duhhh to me and I thought that I was a rocket scientist. Also, I've contacted Brighhouse and they are only in the new section. Too bad for Lynnhaven residents...although, like phone companies have done in the past, couldn't Brighthouse lease Comcast lines at a fair rate?
