The problem with Comcast phone service is that outside the Villages Comcast cable is mostly strung on poles, whereas Century Link is almost all buried, which means the reliability of Century Link, especially during storms is far superior to Comcast. Also, power outages will shut down Comcast phone service, where Century Link supplies power to run fiber optic remote terminals. Signal will get to the house, all you need is a regular land line phone, not one that's dependent on power. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Ask those people in Springdale that lost their CenturyLink service yesterday (11/15) what they think about that.
