I need a RING door bell installed. Current door bell is on the wrong wall so need the wiring moved about 15 inches. This would require removing stucco, moving the wires over, reconnecting electrical and then minor stucco repair. Anyone have a good handy man they might recommend

Have you seen the Ring bases which pivots 45 degrees???
A lot cheaper than all the work you are talking about. I actually mounted a 45 on a 25 degree and got the line-of-site I needed.

I don't have a handyman I can recommend, but doorbells are now available in wireless. Google it, you can probably order one on Amazon and install it yourself, no wiring needed.

Perhaps you can provide a picture, I cannot imagine why so much work is needed for a 15inch move.

OP stated home is block and stucco . Relocating bell wire would be limited to cavity of the block 3 or 4 inches at best. Hence a more labor intense project Stick built homes space between studs would be around 12" making relocating wire a bit more practical

OP, it occurred to me this morning you might be able to use the surface mount plastic channel (see Lowe's, ACE, or Home Depot). This product comes in various sizes, and has components to go around corners. The peel and stick tape will probably not work on stucco, but a couple of concrete screws will easily hold this up over the short distances you are describing. The wide version (about 1 to 1.25 inches) is wide enough to mount the new door bell button, and should be wide enough to cover the hole at the old location, and there is enough space for splicing the wires. Also, most of these products can be painted to match your house. Send me a PM if you would like to discuss further. This would probably cost less than $10 or $15 for material.

Some outside home security cameras are very expensive and some are not. Go to Sam's and look at what is available. They are a very good means to up the security for ALL of us. If more people buy them and use them, we will have to build more jails.
It is like the Elves and Santa. Someone WATCHING you deters bad behavior.

Ring Doorbell camera needs the 24v power from/at the door bell button.

ETA.. Maybe the original Ring needed to be hardwired (not sure) but the current version (Ring 2) has a removable, rechargeable battery pack.

Ring makes 3 levels of video doorbells. Only the highest one, the Ring Pro needs the low voltage wiring.
Your best bet is to take that back and buy the less expensive but still very good Ring2.....that one can be either battery powered or wired. Most reviews rate it actually better than the Ring Pro. Hope this helps. Frank D.

Battery only life is a function of wifi signal strength and number of activations so can be very short. I wouldn't take the risk of a security device having an unnoticed dead battery or battery dying when traveling/not at home. Especially since power is at the doorbell button. |

There is also a SOLAR option for ONE of the ring doorbells, but in my case, the location never got direct sunlight on the doorbell, so the solar option would not work.
