The contractor of choice, for most TOTVrs, seems to be Amy Newsome. Her phone is in numerous posts you shoud get from a search. We were satisfied with her. We have not been led astray from ANY TOTV recommendation. Actually, change the ANY to most we did have considerable issues with our lanai enclosure. TOTV is the absolutely best tool available for newbies to start their search and get recommendations however, on that I'll stand......

The first rule of contracting with a drive-by vendor in The Villages is "don't pay up front"...either in full or in part. "Concrete Coatings" (Dan and Wade) require payment of one-half in advance of them doing the job...that's part of their business model. Enough said????

We used Woody from Superior Concrete Design and he came in and did a great job on our driveway, walkways, lanai and epoxied the garage floor. Battled the weather but didn't rush the job and money was paid after completion. Would highly recommend him.

I always remember my cousin telling me in the 60's while watching the guy across the street painting his patio, "once you paint concrete, you will have to paint it the rest of your life". Today the coatings are much better, but don't think it will be a once in a lifetime expense.

Amy Newsome did ours and we're happy. Good job at a fair price.

We just had our driveway painted by Florida Deck. The company was fabulous to work with, and they did a wonderful job. They did not ask for payment until the job was finished and we were satisfied. I would highly recommend them.

The best thing to do when you are considering hiring a contractor is to call "Seniors vs. Crime" at: 352-689-4600, ext. 4606. They have a data bank that shows how many complaints have been lodged against a particular company and/or contractor. By all means, call them before you sign a contract or part with any money. After you get that information you can better decide what you want to do.
