Hi DickY ... I hope that you're having a great summer. Is Nash Lawn a company you personally recommend?

After four years, we are still looking for ONE reliable company that does it all ..... mowing, trimming, weeding, shrub and palm maintenance, plus inside and outside pest control (I realize you need a special license for this).
Oh, and a company that can also adjust an irrigation system if needed.

Thanks Linda, but I'm looking for someone who can do it all.

I've used them for over 3 years, reliable and multi-talented.

This is an interesting topic as finding one company to take ownership of all the required lawn services has been challenging - for me.

I've been having a challenge with my lawn service ( mowing & trim ) to do weeding in our flower beds - both front and rear. I had a discussion with them a few days ago and after giving me some push back, they agreed to pull weeds, as needed.

I hired a large company for pest/termite control and another large company for lawn care ( fertilizer, weed treatments, etc ). Next year I'll look to hire one company that can perform all services.

I prefer to have one throat to choke rather than put up with finger pointing.

Exactly. That is what we're looking for, one stop shopping. We found someone in our neighbourhood that does it all, and he has a pest control license, which is a huge deal. He will even readjust our irrigation system if needed. He has handled neighbours lawns for years and they recommend him, and their lawns look great. We're especially concerned because we spent $7,000 on landscaping in December and we'd hate to come back to a disaster.

Now we're in exile in Canada and we're getting report from friends that our lawn is in distress. Sigh. However I spoke to our lawn guy yesterday and he was wonderfully reassuring that he will take good care of us and our landscaping. He is readjusting the irrigation system today. And I don't want to be politically incorrect here, but he speaks perfect english, so communication is a joy.

It seems to me there may be an opportunity for a young, insured and growing company. As I explained to my lawn service guy, as a snow bird, I want our property to look as good as my neighbors who live here year round. No exceptions.

We are fortunate to have a neighbor who keeps an eye on our property. He knows what services I've paid for and when he believes they are not doing the work property, he gives me a call.

I also called Massey about the excessive weeds and they are going to address the weed issue next week. They told me that although they spray for weeds on our lawn, they do not spray in or around the shrubs or flower beds. I'll have to re-read my contract when I return to TV next month. In any case, my lawn service company said they will pull weeds in those area's. Finger pointing addressed for now...I hope.

Regarding watering, for the most part we may be at the mercy of Mother Nature. Some of my TV friends have received notices that their sprinkler water consumption has been excessively high and they have been asked (warned) to reduce watering. Even the golf courses have suffered this year because of the little rainfall. Hopefully, we'll get some much needed rain and, even better, lets hope it's at night

Unhappy No all-in-one service available, that I know of.

Barefoot & Natickdan, I have lived here for 4 years and I don't know of any company that does it all.Circle C Landscape Services by Circle C Farms, who supplies TV with Empire Zoysia sod, offers the most comprehensive package that I have seen except for pest control. They have a yearly contract for mowing, plant care including pruning, weed control, edging, fertilization, water audit, irrigation management, lawn aeration, lawn pest management and house pressure washing. Hew will come out to your house to give an estimate. I got an estimate last year for $125/month for a ranch home which was a little pricey for us but after arguing with Scott's and with our mowing service and hiring other people for all the other services we are ready to pay more for a complete service. Go to circlecfarmsinc.com.
