Just had Adam Neusbum do mine. It was $179 for thatch and 69 for aeration.

You call his answering service and then he calls you back. 855-932-3728.

Yard looks dead for about a week but really coming back nice now. He recommends the de-thatch every 2 or 3 years.

We never dethatched up north. What exactly is dethatching? Is it to get rid of the dead grass? If so, why not just rake?

Is de-thatching necessary here with this sandy soil especially if you aerate?

I have a dog that'll do it for you for free and a couple of tennis balls...

Darn!
Someone in competition for tennis balls, eh?
Yours will retrieve them, I'm sure.
Ours just chew the hell out of 'em!

He retrieves them, then ponces on them, shooting them forward, all across the backyard, thatching as he goes. THEN he chews the hell out of 'em!
