Driveway decorations (pavers or poured surfaces or decorative painting) are generally unregulated businesses. They do not require a Contractors license. It is also the source of many, many complaints - generally over "paying up front" and not getting work done to incomplete work. Best advice is check both (all) the bidders out with Seniors Vs Crime, the BBB, and the Florida Division of Consumer Services. Also put the names of your "finalists" here and get comments/recommendations.

Our driveway was done by Custom Ram Design. It's about 4 years old and still looks new. No money up front and Carlos the designer spent several hours helping us design exactly what we wanted. The crew of Decorative Concrete finished my driveway and sidewalk just two weeks ago. I now get "thumbs up" from a few neighbors as they drive by. The multi-step process was completed efficiently and the final product is a big improvement. I was initially disappointed with one issue, presented it to the owner, Cliff, and have had it resolved to my satisfaction.
