Default Tax Preparation recommendation.

We are looking for an accountant who has more experience than retired people living on fixed income. Any suggestions?

Gee, does no one use accountants here and everyone uses their accountants from "back home"?

Turbo tax.....easy and inexpensive. Pay the higher $49.99 and walks you through it step by step.

You don't really have to pay for the most expensive one. Look on the back of the box to see what they different versions offer. I found that I can get all that I want with the lowest priced version of the H&R Block Tax program.

I don't need a state program, help and info on rentals, etc.

Will these computer programs cover things like international litigation expenses?

NOOOOOOO!!!! We used the AARP group about 5 or 6 years back and they failed to file papers on everything we presented them with, next thing we new we had a bill from the IRS for $30,000!!!!! We went to Marie at Affordable Accounts, and in 2 days with a call to the IRS for us and filing what paperwork AARP did not file for us it was cleared up. Back then it cost us $225 and we ended up owing the IRS a little over 2K. We have used her ever since she is awesome and reasonable. Affordable Accounts is on 441 in Lady Lake! Oh and AARP was NO help with the issue we were on our own!

Yes, we checked out AARP and they just don't have enough of a breadth of knowledge to fulfill our needs. Thanks rdhdleo
