Default Driveway/Sidewalk/Porch Surface

We don't want anything fancy, but our concrete needs a new surface. The original concrete work was likely not that great. It's solid and clean, but just has some fading and patches and inconsistent appearance.

Can anybody recommend a way to go? Again, not looking for bricks or anything fancy. Just a nice, uniform, durable surface.

Thoughts and recommendations appreciated.

How old is your house, I just recently bumped into a friend that had the entire driveway replaced (no cost) after they called home warranty and had it inspected.
