Default Electric Mower repair

Hubby has a GreenWorx battery operated electric mower and it suddenly won't start. Batteries are fine. They are also used in other lawn equipment. The mower is about 2 yrs old.

We are looking for a mower repair that handles Electric Mowers. We called "Wildwood Mower and Saw" upon the recommendation of Lowes, where we purchased it.

"Wildwood Mower and Saw" said they don't work on electrics because "they are just trying to get rid of us repair people". Not a fan of electric, obviously.

This is probably a loose wire etc. But need someone who knows this equipment to trouble shoot and repair.

If you have recommendations, please reply! Thanks!!

Call another store that sells that mower and ask them for a repair facility. I would call a different Lowes and HD, if they sell it. You may have to drive a bit to get a qualified repairperson. At 2 years old there is still a lot of life left in it, worth repairing.

I would call the mfgr and see what they say, might be a recall on the unit.

Dotti105,
If none of the above suggestions work, let me know I may be able to help, I am real handy on electrical problems. Also, if you can send me the exact make and model info, I will see if I can find a schematic.

Have you contacted Greenworx? A simple Google search revealed they're covered under a 4 year warranty (unless used commercially, which I doubt you have).

Dottie105,

Just did a search, and it appears there is a cable (mechanical) that is a safety feature and will turn off the mower (if you let go??), anyway there have been problems reported with these cables being too loose which will not let the mower start.

Hope this helps.

Default Thanks all.

He did call GreenWorx and is hoping for a call back.
He has time tomorrow to try to cable trick.
Thanks Tinker! If that doesn’t work, I’ll have him give you a call. Thanks for offering!
