There are many places that will buy gold including jewelry stores. The worst thing you could do is sell it at a "gold buying party" or send it in the mail to the people who advertise on television.

If you don't get any referrals from your post, your best bet is to make some phone calls and ask what they are paying for 14 kt.

There are several factors to consider in order to avoid being disappointed by any offers.
1)The "price of gold" is for 24 karat gold. Most folks have 10 kt and 14 kt gold which only has 41.7% gold or 58.5% gold respectively.
2)The buyer has to account for refining charges AND make a profit to stay in business...go figure.

Good luck and God bless!

Default Coast to Coast

Hi..

I sold mine and my daughter-in-law's there and got a really fair price for it. She had some 18K and that really upped her sale. I have traded with them since they located in Southern Trace and have found them to be very friendly, fair, and helpful. They have been there since Southern Trace was built and we came here before that. Hope this helps. ( I sure wouldn't trust the mail-in thingy, but that's just me.)

Hey, Chels, if you're going to be at Crispers on Friday, you might check them out then.

Hi I sold some gold jewlry in the Publix shopping center on 466. They were recommended by a trusted friend, and I feel I got a good deal and they were honest and trustworthy. A really nice family business. The name of the place is Coast to Coast. and they are located between Publix and Bealls outlet store. Check them out. You have nothing to lose by seeing what they will offer you.

I sold mine two times to a guy who comes to the Waterfront Inn (he has an ad in the paper when he is here)
and was very pleased. I had checked out jewelry stores here in TV (including Coast to Coast in
Southern Trace) and wasn't pleased with the estimates. Diamonds I took to
Arden's in LSL and was happy with the results - there you can put on consignment or sell.

Good Luck!!!
