Default Estimate

I am looking for someone who can estimate damages for my home caused by a renter. Any recommendations?

I would contact a real estate lawyer for recommendations.
You will most likely need his services to collect for the damage.

Oh no... I'm just starting to rent out a home here for the first time. I was just told by another person who rents homes here that no one really checks references and even new renters are not vetted. Can that be true? This is exactly the scenario I'm concerned about. Hope it works out for you.

how about calling a home inspector.....as if you were anticipating buying a home.

They should be able to find all the issues, plus give you the cost of the repairs.

I would check references and make sure you know where they live. Social media may also help.
For damages you would need to take pictures before and after. You have to show they did the damage not just the cost of the damage.
A sign in sheet that everything is ok and the same when leaving. Assume you have a security deposit. To much work for me so I would not rent my property or do it long term.

You may be beating a dead horse, think about collecting $$'s before investing in collection
