I really do not like the echos from tile floor, especially in the bedrooms. I found Mohawk Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring (Lowes) that was an easy DIY project, and I did not have to empty the room for contractors to remove carpeting and install new flooring. Took me 2 weeks 2 to 3 hours a day to do 2 bedrooms, 3 closets, 1 hallway (about 800+ square feet), and all the rooms were useable every day, saved $$$$, total material cost was under $1500 about 3 years ago. Very happy with the results, and this flooring is relatively quiet almost as quiet as carpet.

In my opinion, a house that has the same flooring throughout will be more valuable when the resell it. I remember looking at a new, million dollar house in Pine Hills that had wood, tile, and carpet floors, and it took a long time to sell.

Look at EVP (engineered vinyl plank). Do NOT use The Floor Shoppe as the installer/contractor; you will be sorry if you use them.

I just purchased a home, and am too looking at flooring options. I want to get rid of the carpet from the bedrooms, and not fond of the rolled vinyl that came with the rest of the house - looking at vinyl planking - but I am not a handy person, so DIY is not an option for me.

I just had the carpet replaced in my bedrooms by Roberto's at Colony Plaza. Installers moved all the furniture after I had removed all the stuff on the bookcases, dressers, tables, etc. I had heard good things about Roberto's before I chose them. I am happy with my carpet and the installers.

Same here. They were able to match the existing flooring in the house we purchased and did an AMAZING job of install and completion. HIGHLY recommend them!

Fred Nickle Tile replaced carpets in 3 bedrooms with tile. We did 2 rooms to match the rest of the house and one with different color. We are very satisfied and can't say enough good about their installers, Patty and Nathan.

The next door neighbor had the same job done by Fred Nickle Tile and is delighted.

Find Fred Nickle Tile at Lake Sumter Landing, (352) 295-5800.

Just had Robertos do our entire house with LVP and 6” base. In and out in 5 days. They even clean your blinds, fans, doors etc after job is done. Extremely happy with quality of work.

Take it from a former Villages sales rep. If you can make sure the same flooring is used in the whole house. It is ok to have carpet in bedrooms but not other types of tile or vinyl. Use luxury plank vinyl easier on the feet and no grout to worry about. I STRESS DO NOT USE The Floor Shoppe. Use Great Lakes or Roberto’s.

Eastern Flooring. We had them install flooring in our entire house when we moved to TV. VERY GOOD JOB.

But it's so easy! Unless you have mobility issues, I bet you'd feel awesome from learning how to do it. Youtube is such a great mentor.

We just had LA flooring in Wildwood come out and measure for us. They had great prices and awesome customer service. We have several friends that have used them and are very happy. Anxiously awaiting our new floor!

We used East Coast Flooring in Ocala for the 2nd time. Like their fair approach and pricing. Installers professional and considerate.
