Default Fridge problem

The water dispenser in our fridge stopped working today. Has anyone had this happen and, if so, did it turn out to be something you could fix or did you call for service? Any suggestions for a responsible repairman with reasonable prices?

348-3411. Jim Risley. He know his stuff! Fair and reasonable.

Default Frozen line

If it is a GE side by side, the water line may be frozen in the door. Unless you are real handy, you may need a repair person. If a neighbor has room in their refridgerator, you could unplug yours, open the doors for 24-48 hrs and see if you can get it to defrost.

Default thank you

Thank you for the replies - we may give the 'defrost' a try - if that doesn't work we'll call for help. This is when it would be good to be back in MI - just put the food in a cooler on the front porch

We've had a lot of problems with our GE side-by-side fridge. I think the fridges come with built-in defects. Jim Risley works in The Villages and is very familiar with the included appliances. He has even offered us advice over the phone on things to try, so that we don't have to book a service call. We find him to be helpful and honest.
