Default Garage Door Repair

I have had good service (twice-- including two days ago) from Joe at Hometown Garage Door Solutions and his phone numbers are: 352/230-0551 (office/home) and 352/572-3071 (cell).

You can't install a new keypad without syncing it to overhead opener. Google your model for instructions.

Can you tell us what Hometown did for you? Was it a new garage door opener, garage door springs, or something else. I know Ryan and Scott get regular endorsements on TOTV but I’m also interested in other service options.

Have a problem with our garage door sometimes sticking going up. Also mvp controller stopped working awhile ago and via ebay bought new one. Put it on and still does not work.

Asked Ryan for service call and he said call Romac as he does not do both parts of the job and Romac would.

Called Romac awhile ago and they told me to look for an mvp controller and have someone else install it.

Any suggestion who else to contact?

Thanks Stu
Don’t spend good money after bad. Replace that MVP opener with something else, anything else would be better. Just read what others on here say about how happy they are after MVP was replaced. I replaced with Chamberland and very happy about it. But really anything else would be better than that clunky, loud obsolete MVP, even a chipmunk in a cage would be better.

Home Depot has this one for $289 add $178 installation. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Chamberl...613T/316307820
I did 2 of these myself for less than what Romac wanted to fix 1 of theirs.

Thanks for your help all.

No way would I try doing this myself. I will go to someone well trained in garage door repair and maintenance. I care more about the sticking than the golf cart garage but since I wrote this did stop sticking. lol
