We had the typical sliding screens for a few years but eventually went for a roll up screen. We really like it a lot better. There are many contractors out there. Need to do your research and find the one for you!

Skeeter Beater. A local family business being continued by the son.

Very competitive pricing.

Very responsive for follow up questions.

Very responsive for after installation service.

Their design features a break away capability in the event it is accidentally backed into eliminating major damage/repair. (Yes, "someone" in the household will forget and back into it!!!).

You didn't say what kind of home or the size of your garage, if you live in a CYV most likely you've got a 12' garage door. I have the horizontal slider because I'm in the yard a lot and it's so much easier to slide a 3' section closed as you step out. My neighbor who has the motorized screen, when he steps out to trim his bushes, wash the car, etc, he puts his screen up and it stays up the entire time he is out. What made me get the screen in the first place was another neighbor found a live rattlesnake under his car in the garage. Since I've gotten it and keep it closed besides snakes, you also keep out bugs, lizards and unwelcomed 2 legged guests.

We got ours at All-Around Aluminum in Oxford after three of our neighbors used them. This was about 6 years ago and it was $850. It's took 3 weeks for the install because even though garage doors are standard the openings can vary a slight bit, and they will come out and measure so that the screen fits perfect. My neighbor with the roll-up motorized screen got his from the vendor at Market of Marion for $1650. Here's what a horizontal slider looks like from All Around Aluminum.

Thank you for your feedback. I definitely will give them a call, and I prefer to have the slider install as I would like to keep it close regardless if out or inside. Thanks again.

We have the 4 piece sliding panels....best upgrade we ever did. In our opinion, we prefer this style over the roll up screen type. For one reason, no worry about opening the screen during a power outage ....we can enter & exit many times thru out the day and can keep all the little unwanted critters out just keeping the screen closed each time.
