Default Gil Rivera - JVJetta - anyone use him?

Has anyone used Gil Rivera to do any work on their home? He does kitchen and bath remodels, granite, quartz and solid surfacing counter tops and walls, cabinetry, flooring and painting. I'd love to hear any feedback, good or bad. Thanks in advance!

We used him for a total kitchen remodel.

Tile floor - great
Granite counter - very good
Backsplash - very good
Sink & faucet - very good
Removed old wallpaper & painted - very good
Removed popcorn ceiling & applied 'knockdown' texture very good EXCEPT we have a plexiglass skylite which got some texture on and cleanup was poor.
Cabinets - good - partially our fault as we went on the low end of the price spectrum
New molding throughout kitchen, family room, and front room - very good
Price & timing of all - good

He did work on our home. It was terrible. We had to call in another contractor to fix it. It cost me thousands more, and I lost over a month use of the home. It was so bad we couldn't even live there.

We had Gil remodel our shower with the jetta stone and then he did granite countertops in both the baths and the kitchen. He is a very honest and his prices are comparatively lower then other contractors. He was much less then Wildwood Kitchens and Bath. He had it done in a total of 2 weeks. He tries to keep his promises barring any unforeseen problems. I'm sorry to hear that someone had a problem with him. Seems hard to believe.

If I where you I would have him in for a estimate, be honest with him in what you want and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We are very happy with our granite counter tops, but not so happy with our tile. Many pieces were cut short and the installer used a lot of grout to fill in the spaces. I think thebaseboardsshould have been removed. The metal strips weren't removed where carpet and tile meet and it will require a lot of grout.
