We spoke with some and then selected MARTIN ALUMINUM. Fair price for the excepional product, workmanship(the attention to detail), quick, efficient aspects of all work. When they finish, you have a truely beautiful installation that you will enjoy year round.

Joyce...give Brian Terry Vinyl a call and request Wayne Terry to come out and give you a quote. He doesn't try to upsell you and will build what you want and only make suggestions based on many years experience. His company did a large job for us which included full glass enclosure and a bird cage that encompassed a 6' x 28' grassy area for our two dogs and a large patio area to enjoy the outdoors without having to deal with the love bugs. They don't take a single dime up front and they waited five weeks for us to return to TV to inspect and then pay. Not many companies doing that these days.

Their number is 352-365-0068

Good luck!!

My suggestion is look at other installations to see the finished product, or go to a showroom, if the contractor has one. When we did this, we learned something new at each one.

I recommend Elite Lifestyles, 352-748-0473. They have a showroom on the west side of Hwy 301 approx. 1.5 mi. south of 466.

I also contracted Brian Terry Vinyl and am extremely pleased with my decision. I got six estimates and for several reasons went with BTV. One - they are local, two - they do not ask for any money upfront, three - I checked them out on BBB and with people they did work for. All of the results were excellent as was the outcome with my screen room.

Default White Alum

IMHO, stay away from White Alum. Hopefully they will complete my job today, which is in week 14 of a 6 week job. I do like the finish product but, it has taken many phone calls and weeks to get it to this point. I do not think the cost difference was worth the hassle. They use windows from "Custom Windows" in Ocala. I think there is a posting from someone who used Custom Windows in Ocala and were happy with them.

Joyce, IMHO this is probably the best upgrade you are going to do to your home and of course you want it done right, the first time.

You will want to consider a mini-split AC/Heating system put in so you can enjoy the room all year round. Additionally, think about having the flooring put down before the finishing occurs...it looks neater, again my opinion.

Finally, take a good long hard look at the type of tint in the windows. I know someone that got it too dark and they hate it. It is a personal preference, but take the time to explore the different options and what suits your needs.

Get at least 3 of the big companies out to give estimates and ideas. The good companies will take care of all the review board paperwork.

Check out Custom Windows in Leesburg. Their showroom is off of 441 south of 466A. Go 466A to 441 take right onto 441 take left at Hess gas station and Custom Windows is on right. They are doing our lanai in 2 weeks. We got the stackable sliding doors with a full length glass door. With stackable sliding doors you don't lose much open air feeling. We also ordered the heavier sun screen because we face west.
