Default Granite composite sink choices

Looking at granite composite sinks in place of stainless steel. Any experience you can share about granite composite sinks? How about color: white vs black?

My mother in law has one in white. At first she had problems with what appeared to be staining from various foods, etc, but a quick squirt with a bleach solution removes any food stain. She keeps a small squirt bottle filled with water and a bit of bleach near the sink. That problem has been settled and she likes her sink.

When we lived in CA, our neighbor across the street also had a granite composite sink only in black. He really, really liked this sink and the black never showed marks or stains.

Guess the color you decide upon is dependent upon the color of your countertop.

I have that in my home and love it because of the reasons stated above. Can't see stains if any, never looks dirty and I clean it well twice a day so that I know it's clean and sanitary.

I have one in my home here in the frozen north! I absolutely love it and I have had every type of sink in various houses over the years. It is the one thing that I will miss if I can't get one in TV. It doesn't scratch, show stains or water marks. It looks very good with a granite with some black in it. Highly recommended!!!

Default Blank Granite Sink

I also have a blank granite sink and love it up here in Canada . I just use a product purchased at Home Depot for cleaning it weekly. I also purchased a black faucet to go with it as it does not show the dirt or marks.

We had a white one up north. I liked it for the most part. That being said...it would show black "scratch" marks from our metal pots/pans and I'd have to use Bar Keeper's Helper on hand to work on these. As for stains..sink cleaner with bleach in it always worked well. I don't know how the black works though!

Apparently the white is more apt to show scratches and stains than black. There is also a cafe brown.

Default granite choice made

Thanks for all you input. We chose a brown granite sink and look forward to its installation based on the excellent input from this forum.
