I want to recommend a great handyman: John Woodruff who I have been using for the last few years. I can't even remember all the various jobs he has tackled but some include: replacing my kitchen faucet, adding a lamp fixture to our bedroom fan and installing a remote so we can work the fan and light from our bed, installing shelves in my garage, tiling a small section of one of the guest bedrooms for an office, installing a hammock and a hanging swing in my lanai, installing motion sensor lights outside our birdcage, painting our garage door, drilling lots of holes in concrete in the lanai and the garage for a fire extinguisher, hanging racks for ladders, clocks, hose winders, etc. This week he even worked on replacing the oil and hoses for our "endless pool" a hydraulic system which creates currents in our pool. He is smart and capable of doing almost anything you might need.

Because he needs to travel over an hour to get here, he obviously doesn't want to drive here for just a small job. So I want to share him with others so it will be easier to get him here when I have those small jobs instead of having to wait until I have enough for him to make the trip worth his time.

I just wanted to update this with other tasks John has done for me.

We saw some patio furniture we wanted at Costco in Orlando which does not offer any type of delivery. We purchased both a dining set, a sofa seating set and a patio heater. We didn't even consider renting a uhaul because we knew John could handle it. John had a trailer on the back of his pick-up truck and he was able to pick up both large sets of furniture at once and put them together as well.

Our front door handle and bolt lock had corroded and I found out that KwikSet had a lifetime guarantee. I sent photos to them and they sent me a new set. John installed and set it up to work with our existing keys.

I needed more storage space in the attic. John picked up the plywood and installed it under the slanted part of the roof and it doubled my floor space so that I have nothing in the middle area anymore and organized storage as well.

He has also installed an electric outlet in my garden so I now have an uplight on our tree and electricity for a future fountain.

He helped me install motion sensors in a DIY alarm system.

He installed a new shelving system for me in my studio.

He has handled everything we have needed done since we found him. He is honest and smart and charges very reasonably for what he does. I just need to spread the word so he can spend more time here in The Villages to handle the small jobs I need done occasionally so I don't have to wait until I have enough to justify his trip here.
