Default Golf Cart Insurance

Can anyone help me locate a good agent & rate for liability on a golf cart? I found a policy for $136/yr but they raised it one month after I got it.

I saw someone quote $64/yr about a month ago on a forum but I can't find the thread.

Thx!

I will need golf cart insurance when I pick up my cart in April. I believe insurance should be under $100. I think Redwitch should be able to send you somewhere good. PS: I see you're new. Redwitch knows everything. A good person to know.

I had the Allstate cart insurance for $60 and then they raised my rates after a year. I recently went with AAA for House, Car and Cart. House was cheaper than I had, Car was the same and Cart was cheaper (it is $75). I like the fact that now I have one agent, if you go to AAA ask for Diane D she was very helpful...gn

We've been with Allstate, McDonald & Co Insurance the past 4 years. $62.00 & $68.00 for our 2 Golf Carts. Your rates will also depend on how much coverage Liability, Collision, & Comp.

Default Allstate

I've had Allstate for about 3 years for our first cart - no raise in rates, have liability and comprehensive only, no collision, about $62 for that cart (2005 Club Car electric) and about $68 for the 2nd cart (2010 Club Car electric 4-seater).

No discount for a 2nd cart, but still good rates. Those are yearly rates, not 6-month, although you pay (mine is set up automatically thru checking account) every 6 mos.

Is the increase in rate maybe due to a milestone birthday? They do want to know the info on the main drivers.

FWIW - If you currently have a Personal Liability/Umbrella insurance policy and are wanting to insure a golf cart, please see this thread:

Try Foremost Ins. Call Rutland Insurance in Lady Lake, 753-3255. I personally have them. Plus two of my clients have Foremost and they were involved in a cart v. auto wreck nd dealing with Foremost could not have been easier. IMHO

We also have Foremost at just under $60 per year. Got our policy through Villages Insurance in Colony Plaza.
