We're new to The Villages and came across Affordable Home Watch.Com owned and operated by Rich and Marge Marchione. They charge $40 per month and do a specific "check-off" list for your home while away. Has anyone heard of them? And what have you heard? Thanks, vtcyclist

PS We give two very happpy thumbs-up for the 48-hour blind guy, Rich. He was excellent, timely, professional and we thought very reasonable.

Another vote for our own Redwitch- she has been watching my house since I bought 6 months ago and she is excellent. The difference is that she CARES about what she does and therefore is thorough and honest. You couldn't do any better.

Now, if we could get these folks to advertise here on Talk of The Villages..........their business would go through the roof. Redwitch has advertised with us in the past, and she already has three satisfied customers who posted here in public.

We used "Affordable" last summer and could not be more pleased. We received e-mail reports on a regular basis. When a new palm tree exhibited signs of distress, they alerted us to contact the landscape company and set-up a watering cycle for the replacement palm. You'll sleep better with Affordable.

I'm not sure what all other home watch services do, but Redwitch has been a life saver for us. When we had the lightening strike she figured out what needed to be done and let me know. She handles small problems and makes sure they don't turn into big problems. She isn't a realtor so she can't do realtor stuff, but she does help me out with renters by letting them in and being on call if they need anything. When I wanted to get a new ceramic top stove, she found an almost new one that someone else was selling. I could go on and on, but in short I believe she goes above and beyond what most others will do.
