I've just been steaming about this and need to rant/vent/warn

I had asked about a handyman to do some woodwork stuff at our new home. Got a PM that suggested ...... so we got in touch and they came out to give me an estimate. The estimate was a bit sketchy, but I understood why, material costs. No deposit, pay when finished. The 1st part was finished by another person. ?? OK The next day they didn't show by 10 AM, so I called. Be there in a few minutes, and they were. Please recall that 1/2 was done and materials were at my house to finish. They walked up the drive with a 12 pack in hand and said " you don't mind if we put this in your garage fridge, do you?" Uhm, OK, when finished I bet they will be hot and thirsty. Well, I walked out into the garage to find them both about 6 into the 12 pack. Then they proceeded to criticize my choice in trees and landscape, which hadn't even been started yet. Total price for the work was pretty close to a decent deal, maybe a bit high, but OK. I had asked about some floating shelves and was told they don't exist, and couldn't be made. Found the perfect, exact shelves at Lowe's and did it myself.
I will not say who it was, but watch out for 2 guys that drink on the job and think they know everything.

It would be really helpful if we, the villagers, knew the names of these guys doing business in The Villages under a business name or not. Helps protect the rest of us from falling into the same or similar experience. Thanks!

I did not say I was ripped off or scammed. I did say they were very unprofessional. PM me and I'll tell you who they are.

We OVER use and love our handyman Keith.
He has done all types of house repairs, painted and even pressure washed our home and every time he is reliable and friendly. Good prices too.
