This is the first time we have, in one year, sold a house - moved to another state - bought a house - and my wife retired.
I don't feel comfortable doing my own taxes (like I usually do.)
Can you recommend someone who will take the time to work with us to get our taxes done correctly?

We have recently moved here. My husband sold his CPA practice of 35 years in Seattle and we now live in The Villages. He is going to be accepting clients here. He was on the second generation of clients in Seattle, the children of his long time clients also loved him. He does Federal and State tax returns, trusts and estates, and will also be doing our tax return as you describe above as it is also our situation! He can be reached Monday at 352 633 5335; our movers arrive today so we will have a phone by this evening.

There is a recent thread on this same issue. You should search for it. People here recommended someone who does taxes fo under $100. They also recommended AARP who does quite a lot of taxes here in the Villages for people in the same situation as yours. I have done taxes for 9 years and your taxes are not that complicated based on your description.
