Smile Need remove driveway decorative concrete surface

Has anyone out there had to grind off the driveway surface? If so, who did you contract with and are you satisfied. Also, if anyone knows of others who can handle such a project. The driveway is 2.5 cars wide and includes front walkway. Thanks in advance.

You may be able to have this sandblasted, this is what our neighbors did, I think they said the cost was about $2 per square ft. If they do not comment, I will ask who did the work.

After 30 plus years in the Concrete Business I must let you know I hope you don't mind having fewer neighbors as friends because of the dust and havoc a job like this creates is enormous. Just think about the paint and Concrete Dust that will be airborne. They will tell you that they will wet it down while they grind off the finish which will work a little but it still is a rough scene. Send me a PM if you need more help. I'm not a contractor. Good Luck.

Sometimes it is cheaper to rip up and discard the existing and pour fresh Concrete. Some of the masons in The Villages are Artists with Concrete.

Decorative Concrete is the best and he uses water so there won't be any dust. 352-620-9561. Tony

Wink Thanks for responses

Thank you for your input. After having some of the contractors input, I chose one listed on this site. They are grinding off my entire driveway and will create an entire new surface. They plan to start this Saturday and finish by Monday or Tuesday. I intentionally left out the company name until they’re finished. I can then provide adequate feedback.

Would be interested in the feedback and cost involved.
Thanks
