Are there any services that will take a washer without buying one?

If you're physically able, the first thing I'd try is to leave it at the end of your driveway the night before your trash pick-up.

Chances are, someone will come along and pick it up...

And if the previous suggestion does not work, call your trash hauler, and typically for $10 they will schedule a special pickup for your washing machine.
