Hi gigim. Today is Monday 11/24/2014. We just had Vortex Plumbing repair a main line water leak under our sidewalk to our house. Our house is 9 years old and The Villages would not cover the repair. Brad at Vortex found the leak under the sidewalk to learn that the original contractor never glued the fitting together. We have been wondering why our water bill has been so high over the past year - Well now we know. When I called Vortex this morning a very nice lady named Katie answered the phone, set up an appointment for 11:00 AM and called just before the plumber arrived. Very professional, congenial and the best part the entire bill was only $150.00. Brad had to use a jack hammer to break through the sidewalk to find the leak. And cleaned up all the mess.
I would recommend Vortex Plumbing (352) 753-4636 and probably Katie will answer.

Well, I just learned something. I called The Villages Warranty Department to inform them the fitting was never glued together and they said because I used Vortex Plumbing and not Mike Scott I am on my own on this repair expense. Well isn't that nice to know............

A while back my gas water heater T&P valve was leaking, so I purchased & installed a new one. A day later, the new one was doing the same thing. I finally called a plumber as I thought the thermostat was the problem. A plumber from Ross Plumbing indicated that the real problem was the expansion tank - and that was a lot less expensive than a new tank / thermostat. What a refreshing concept: honesty. I will call them without hesitation.

Another honest plumbing company is Dunstan Plumbing on Main St. in Leesburg. They are AAAAA+++++ in my book.

AGREED. Since wasn't particularly impressed with Mike Scott, contacted Vortex based on your posting here. They are great. Had them out the other day for issues that should not occur with a 17-month old house, but they did a thorough job checking everything. Highly recommend, does not charge for "extras" and seems to be honest.

Default reasonable plumber

Would not use Isherwood again. Simple faucet hookup, he was going to abandon job, leaving us with trying to find someone to finish. $350 cost.
