What does a home watch company do & which one would you recommend--do they go into your house?

Yes, they go in your house.
They take in driveway mail, run your dishwasher, flush your toilets, check for mold and mildew, notify you if there is a problem.
They will let you know if they see any interior ants or pests.
Most offer a list of "things to do before you leave", e.g., open the closet doors and turn on the fans.
If you leave in a hurry and forget to do something, they usually do a check the first week to make sure you've done everything.
Most will meet a contractor if something needs repair, drive your golf cart, notify you if your lawn company isn't weeding, etc. etc.
We have used Village Watch Dogs since 2007. We rely on them to keep our house secure and problem free.

A home watch co. goes into your house weekly & also checks the outside property & runs some indoor water monthly down the toilets & sinks. My service which I have had for 5 yrs. sends me a personal e mail weekly on the status of the home. Safe Home Watch--Ed & Mary Edwards they are THE BEST!

I used Safe Home Watch prior to moving here full time. Mary and Ed do a great job.

Turn off your water and electric power for some appliances to be safe. There was a good list here some time ago

Ed and Mary have a very good reputation. However I think they only work in the southern Villages.
