Default Home Watch services: updating old closed threads

Hi all,
I see some 2020 old conversations about home watch services, and have some leads from The Daily Sun, but would like to get input on contacts for snowbird home watch service providers:
  • Name of provider that focuses on Spanish Springs area?
  • Ballpark cost per visit (if you know)?
  • Basic services (exterior and interior)?
  • Do these companies typically access home via lockbox?
  • Any experience with a home watch service if something does go bad (e.g water leak)?

Thanks for any refreshed info.

I don't think they use a lockbox. They have a key. Personally, I would turn off the water and leave it off. No need to flush toilets. I have seen two houses totally destroyed by leaking toilets because someone did not turn the water back on. I think a home watch company would expect you to file a homeowner insurance claim for extensive damage.

The Community Watch department offers a very inexpensive home watch service, but they do not go inside of your house. A few inside wifi cameras may substitute for a home watch service.
