Default Hours of Operation

Is there any rule regarding what hours an outside contractor can operate here in TV? I know that all of us who use lawn services have contractors that operate on different days. My complaint is that when we are sitting out on the lanai and it is 5:00 PM, there are the lawn services operating in the evening???? It makes me crazy that I want to enjoy the evening, my guests, and someone is still cutting the three lawns behind my house. After they cut the lawn, then there is the trimming...and the blowing....It's now 5:43 PM and they are still making noise. HELP!!!

I have never heard of any rule regarding when the mowers should be shut off. Most lawn service co's I have observed are in an out in less the 15 minutes, have another drink!

I know that our lawn guy is out in 15 minutes. He, however, has 2 other guys working with him at the same time. He does our neighbor's and our lawn methodically within those 15 minutes.

Most lawn services I've seen do our neighbors lawns mainly in early mornings or later evenings during summer months. I mow my own lawn and I do mine close to sunset doing the rear yard first because of houses behind us. I never mow on sundays. The only noise restrictions I know of may be in your respective district you are in.

It is definitely an unfortunate intrusion, but does it happen all the time? Could it be that the landscaper was working late because of having to make up for the lawns that did not get mowed and blowed in all the rain yesterday? If it is an ongoing issue I'd suggest that you check your covenants/restrictions to see if your answer is in there.

We had guests a couple of weeks ago and we were sitting on the lanai when a lawn person nearby was being VERY noisy. It was annoying at the time, but it doesn't happen often.

We are retired and they are working.

I am hugely in favor of work.
