Why do you need an attorney for a closing? In Florida, I do not think people use attorneys at closing, unless an unusual circumstance. I know its common in some States, but not in Florida.

Mclin Burnsed in The Villages will handle it for you. They also do the closings for most new houses sold.

your buyers should hire a TITLE COMPANY to do the closing. if you are comfortable with there choice you can use them as well.

there closing company will do all the work on there side and yours. But if you want help with your sales contract, you can hire your own attorney.

you can get an attorney to represent you at closing also, but in Broward county the buyers get to chose the title company.

hope this info helps

Vinnie, we did not use a attorney for our first closing in Florida because others who I trust before me did not use one and it is an acceptable practice here. Going forward we will have an attorney to consult, question, call, look out for us as it is the correct thing for us to do. $500 on a lawyer to be represented is well worth it. We used Millhorn & Shanawany 352-205-4707 on another issue and found them to be knowledgeable. Good Luck.

In my opinion, it is a good idea for the seller to hire someone, attorney or realtor, to process the sale through closing to ensure that the sales contract is properly executed. The house is not sold until it is sold.

Wilson & Williams P.A. in Ocala

I used them to close a sale of a piece of land several years ago. They were very efficient and reasonably priced.

Thanks...you are probably correct. no special circumstances. I do not even think I will be there at closing. Agent has outlined approximate expenses including raltor fees.
There is no mortgage involved. So I think I will take your advice and save a few bucks
