Default House Watch

We closed on our new home in St. Charles in early March. Being part timers we knew we'd need someone to watch over our house when we were away. Fortunately, through the help of TOTV, we discovered Safe Home Watch, a company which is run by Villages residents Mary and Ed Edwards.
During the construction phase, Mary and Ed sent us pictures at least once a week. They made us feel almost like we were there ourselves. When I had questions about anything I saw in the pictures, they responded quickly and accurately about what I was concerned about.
These two very special people have a way of making you feel comfortable. We have them for our House Watch services and it seems that we have old friends looking out for us. They stopped by and chatted with my wife one day when I was out, then returned a couple of days later when both my wife and I could be there. There was never any doubt about who to hire.
They left us a check list of things to do before we left, then made sure we knew not to worry, they would check everything to make sure we didn't miss anything.
This is not just some ordinary company, these are two concerned, caring people looking out for your property as if it was theirs. I can't say enough about Mary and Ed Edwards. We're very grateful that our paths crossed. The make being an absentee owner in The Villages much easier.

It's refreshing when a business takes customer service to the next level. Seems they are too few and far between these days.... Kudos to Mary and Ed!

We closed in March also and have had the same experience. I know Allstate says you are in good hands with Allstate, but we feel the same way about Mary and Ed. I am looking forward to a continuing warm experience and know that our little corner (literally) is in good hands untiul we arrive. Pass the word.............

Default know what you mean

I feel the same way about Redwitch, who watches our home. She is smart, thoughtful, thorough and goes the extra mile for us, as well as for our tenents. She's terrific!

We also use safe home watch ,Ed and Mary. We purchased a home in Pennecamp in Dec. We arrived March 1. Ed and Mary turned on our water at our request two days before we arrived. Everything was fine. They went back to the house an hour or so later to check again. They discovered the ice maker water supply was leaking on the kitchen floor. They turned off the water and called me. They cleaned up the water on the floor. They were there the next morning when the warranty people arrived and fixed the problem . They saved us from a huge mess of water on the floor and carpet. I certainly recommend Ed and Mary. We will use them until we can move in full time.

I also feel the same about Redwitch. She watches my home while I am not there, recently had a broken window from a storm and she is handling calling people to get estimates and making arrangements to have it replaced once I decide who to go with. Having someone reliable and trustworthy makes all the difference in the world when you can't be there.

Had the same experience with Mary & Ed last year when we re-did the whole interior of our villa. They opened it everyday for the Contractors, inspected it during the day sent us pictures daily and even cleaned up after the Contractors left. They are First Class, Top Rate!!! Clearly they set the standard all others aspire to reach!

We also use Mary and Ed to take care of our home in Pennecamp while we are away. We were a little concerned about leaving our home for extended periods of time but were quickly reassured with the service provided by Safe Home Watch. I get weekly emails on status of home and they truly treat your property as if it were theirs.

Diana,

See previous post (#10). It's from Ed and Mary. They included a link to their web site.

Another vote for Redwitch. Have used her for two homes over two years and she is excellent. I am sure Mary and Ed are good as well, and should I ever have to change would try them. But hopefully I never have to because she is very good. She has resolved plumbing issues, handled tenants, and many other problems that as a not yet villager you run into. She does airport pick up arrangements, cleaning, weeding, golf carts, and probably things I have not yet asked. She is on this forum, so go to user CP and look her up to contact.
