Default How to Flip Opening of Bi-Fold Closet Door

I have a mirrored bi-fold closet door that currently opens from left to right. I would like it to open from right to left instead. Can anyone recommend someone who could do this? Thank you.

you should be able to remove the door and reverse the hardware to the other side of the door. The main issue might be the knob placement. Good luck

I agree with the above comment, as this would work on the bi-fold doors at our house. but it is possible yours may be different. You may be able to contact Home warranty (I need to save the new website) to see if the manufacturer is list for your house. The contact the manufacturer (or the installer) for the change.

I appreciate the advice. The handle is welded to the center of one of the bi-fold panels and it looks like it can be used from either direction.

You may have to flip the top and bottom sliders too.

Pretty easy.

1) lift the current door out of the bottom bracket. Pull out the bottom pin and move it to the other side. Do same with top pin and roller (swap them).

2) move the bottom bracket to opposite side. Note location of bracket front to back, so door will hang vertically.

3) unscrew the top rail and flip it horizontally... Then you should be able to reinstall the door.

Thank you so much for your very specific advise. Even though I am not mechanically inclined, someone who is blessed with that talent should be able to understand and execute.
Appreciate your taking the time.

Default Closet door.

Just go in the closet, and open the door.
