I have a question.. I'm going to have my A/C checked out soon it is nearly 17 yrs old... why do you have your furnace changed at the same time? I thought furnaces lasted around 30 yrs?

Many of The Villages houses have heat pumps where the outside and inside coils perform the same function during the heating and cooling season, only in reverse. Some houses have a natural gas furnace, but they still have an inside and outside coil for the cooling system. I think it is a good idea to replace everything at the same time because you will need to replace the outside and inside cooling coils no matter what. Also, your warranty may be compromised if you don't replace the supply fan, and the contractor determines that an air supply problem caused the system to malfunction.
