Default Interior Decorating Consultant

We are looking for a good interior decorator to work with us on an overall plan for finishing the interior of our house. Someone who is fee based and doesn't push furnishings from their store.

Any suggestions would be welcome along with fees charged.

Thanks

Default Leta Hilton

Leta would be my suggestion. She had her own design studio in Virginia, and now does consulting here without ties to any store. She can help with the whole thing or just tweak something. cell 540-246-2338.

I think if you are planning to buy your furnishings, or some of them at Southern Lifestyles that Jenifer with one "n" that works there...her expertise is as good as it gets and free too.

Do a little work buying some Home decorating magazines and cutting out pictures that you LIKE....not to duplicate exactly but the style that feels pretty to you. Take seven or eight with you and That will help her decide how to direct you. Tell her if you want to stay economical and she can help you there too.

I have been in a number of beautiful homes here and some of them are, well, too....decorate-y. They fail to bring in the personality and style of the owners.

Incorporate into the plan some things that you brought with you and use the colors that make you feel ....right. If you are a blue and green person don't do earth tones.

Admin? When are we gonna have a decorating forum just for these kinda things? I LOVE to see pictures of peoples homes.

That would be wonderful! I love to see what others have done to make their house their home - inside and out!

Default Interior Dector

Try Sharon Earls 259-2744 Villages Resident; not pushy. She works part time at White's Furniture and she does not push their stores pieces. She will shop other stores to get what you want.
